Athletes We've Worked With
From the PGA Tour to the Epson Tour, our team has worked with the following professionals and amateurs in many ways to develop them into the best player they can be.
John Vanderlaan began honing his game at the Golf Performance Center at the age of 13. Vanderlaan joined the Competitive Program then the Elite Program designed for aspiring juniors at GPC. Vanderlaan credits much of his desire to compete and develop as a player to his time spent at GPC. He notes that attending GPC was one of the best decisions that he ever made in helping reach his goal of playing college golf and make it to the PGA Tour. Vanderlaan went on to play college golf at Florida Southern knowing that he would have a good chance to play on a team that competes for trophies every week and national championships. Vanderlaan went on to win eleven (11) individual titles including the Division II individual national championship in 2018. Later that year Vanderlaan was named the Division II Jack Nicklaus Award winner. Through his years at GPC, Vanderlaan learned that competing and excelling at every level was a key ingredient to his success. Through that Vanderlaan's first win as a professional came in the Connecticut Open. Vanderlaan went on to earn his KornFerry Tour card via Q School and in 2025, he earned his PGA Tour Card for the 2026 season. Vanderlaan is now a member of the Player Development Index Athlete Team utilizing PDI as a way to track and work on key areas in his game for continued development as a player.
Annika Sorenstam is a former professional golfer who competed on the LPGA Tour. She won 10 LPGA Tour tournaments and was named the LPGA Tour Player of the Year in 2003. Sorenstam was also a member of the United States Solheim Cup Team and won the 2003 U.S. Women's Open.Annika Sorenstam is considered one of the best female golfers of all time. Sorenstam amassed 90 worldwide professional victories in her career including 72 wins on the LPGA Tour and 10 major championships. Sorenstam has utilized the Player Development Index (PDI) in recent years and had this to say about it: “I wish I had a tool like PDI when I was a junior to measure and manage my development, but I hope I can help the golfers coming up today by putting it in their hands.”
Chris Nallen began working with founder, Roger Knick, when he was 15 years old. Nallen's development as a player saw him have a storied amateur career highlighted by nine (9) career college wins while at the University of Arizona. Chris also won the storied Northeast Amateur, the Dogwood Invitational, and the New Jersey State Amateur Championship. Nallen's play earned him spots on the 2003 United States Walker Cup Team and the 2003-2004 United States Palmer Cup Teams. He was a semifinalist in the 2004 U.S. Amateur and went on to earn Golf Coaches Association of America All American Honors from 2000-2004 with First Team honors in 2003 and 2004. Following his amateur career Chris played on the KornFerry Tour from 2004-2011 highlighted by a victory in the Gila River Classic and eleven (11) top 10 finishes. Chris also competed in the 2005 and 2006 U.S. Opens held at Pinehurst and Winged Foot.
Notah Begay III amassed four PGA Tour victories over his career and currently splits time competing on the PGA Tour Champions and as a decorated NBC Sports analyst. Begay has utilized the Player Development Index in recent years and had this to say about it: “The Player Development Index (PDI) is the most accurate performance measure in the industry.”
Lauren began her college career at LSU before transferring to Kansas. In her last semester at Kansas, Lauren made a splash winning the UCF Challenge in 2025, an event sponsored by PDI. Clark went on to win her next two collegiate events during a dominant senior season. As a rookie on the EPSON Tour, Lauren is on the PDI Athlete team. She credits PDI for helping her understand her golf game beyond just her tournament rounds.
Sam Choi had a dominant career at New Mexico earning MWC Freshman of the Year honors and earning a spot on the Arnold Palmer Cup Team before spending a graduate year playing for Pepperdine. Sam played well enough at Pepperdine to finish 11th in PGA Tour University. Sam, who is a member of the PDI Athlete Team, is now on the Korn Ferry Tour.
Nathan Han is a Golf Performance Center alum who excelled at Columbia University, earning Ivy League Player of the Year honors in 2022. Han spent his graduate year at Pepperdine University and now plays on the Asian Development Tour. As a member of the PDI Athlete Team, Han continues to use GPC to keep developing. Han claimed his first professional victory at the 104th Westchester Open.
Dave Pastore is a Connecticut native who started coming to GPC after his college career at the University of Virginia. David has a decorated professional resume including state open wins across New England and 5 starts on the PGA Tour via Monday qualifying. In addition to spending time at GPC, David is a member of the PDI Athlete Team as he competes on PGA Tour Americas.
Jason Caron, a Hyannis, MA native, turned professional in 1994. Caron has competed on NGA Hooters Tour, Nationwide Tour, PGA Tour, and currently on PGA Tour Champions where he joined in 2025. While competing on the Champions Tour the past two seasons, Caron has compiled 2 runner-up finishes and 13 top-10 performances. Caron is a member of the Player Development Index Athlete Team utilizing PDI as a way to track and work on key areas in his game for continued development as a player. Caron finished T30th in the 2002 U.S Open held at Bethpage.
